The Via Italia BIA will once again host a Jane’s Walk on Erie Street as part of the annual Windsor weekend. -This time it will feature our beloved east side!

Step into the heart of East Erie Street in Windsor’s Via Italia and experience a neighbourhood where history, tradition, and community come together. This guided Jane’s Walk will take you through some of the area’s most cherished legacy businesses, vibrant gathering places, and sites that showcase the neighbourhood’s Italian identity. Along the way, you’ll discover stories behind long-standing establishments, explore how the neighbourhood continues to evolve, and experience offerings that make Via Italia-Erie Street unique.

From the rich history of local family-run businesses to the timeless traditions of bocce and gelato, this tour is a celebration of the people and places that define East Erie Street. While the walk focuses on Italian heritage, it also highlights the businesses that have remained community staples for generations, even as the neighbourhood has evolved. Whether you’re passionate about local history, food, or culture, this walk will give you a deeper connection to Windsor’s Via Italia and the east side of Erie Street, offering a glimpse into one of the city’s most treasured districts.
